Ain’t nothing wrong with bicycles leaning against barbed wire fences! Followed.
Chris, if a picture is worth a thousand words you got a bunch o words there, a great photo essay and and loads of inspiration for me. Are you working on an S240 a month?
Thanks, Hugh. I like the IDEA of an S24O/month, and will probably think about making it work. But not if it requires sacrificing fun and comfort. August might be…well…a bit uninspiring.
Thanks, Daniel. I use it all year in Texas. Overnighters on the warmer winter days and mid-morning naps by the breezy lakeshore on hot summer days. There is a bug net built in to the hammock, so no more bug trouble than my tent.
Some great photo-documentation there. I see you are on the Instagram. Are you also on flickr?
Thanks. Yes, I have a few photos on flickr also…

Very nice photo essay. I’m curious- what kind of stand and cooker are you using for your kettalist?
Thank you. I use the Trangia stove and stand as shown here…

Need a thorough Albatross set-up post for those of us considering the kool-aid. Thanks.
Enjoyed the stories! ‘Specially like the tidy coffee chemistry set-up. Also, the Albatross bars and the basket/bag arrangement look great. Neat rig!
What tires are you running?
Grand Bois Lierre, they seem quite satisfactory for my purposes.
I’m running the GB Cypress (32mm). No problem with girt roads and light gravel. How wide are the Lierre’s?
About 38mm.
Very nice. I admired the coffee equipment very much.
Peace 🙂
That’s a nice, light sleeping set up you have there. How much of the year might you use that? Are bugs an issue?
Thanks, Daniel. I use it all year in Texas. Overnighters on the warmer winter days and mid-morning naps by the breezy lakeshore on hot summer days. There is a bug net built in to the hammock, so no more bug trouble than my tent.
