It’s like a sugary dessert after a hearty main course.
Putzing.
Because after several hours in the Texas summer elements the prior day, it’s what one craves.
Putzing through the charming community of Valley View, and of course, a sprinkle of gravel…

The YouTube clip at the end? Excellent!
Wonderful photos and the little film clip means I finally understand the sound of cycling on gravel.
At the risk of being pedantic, I believe you were “futzing” rather than “putzing” (which would imply a totally different sort of blog). Alas, I only learned this after mixing the two terms during a first date with a nice Jewish girl many years ago. She must have found the mistake endearing, since she’s now put up with me for 16 years of marriage. 🙂
Hey, thanks, Jason! I believe you are correct.
It’s interesting in a way because I didn’t really think either was a word, and that ride seemed to feel like my word. Maybe I heard “futz” somewhere before and blended it with another word that I don’t really know…”puttering”.
This demonstrates that I should really stay within the comfortable, yet tiny, limits of my knowledge base.
Oh yeah, no edits planned because I want your great story to stand for the amusement of any future folks who might stroll by.
As I peruse your youtube channel, I am jealous of your location, and then realize that I simply need to get on my bike in my location to see something that most people miss. Keep doing it well my friend. Cheers!
