  1. As a shift-worker that works at night I watch very little TV compared to the average Kiwi, maybe 5 or 6 hours a week? I still enjoy (some of) it but it kind of freaks me out how much of peoples downtime is spent staring at a box on the wall. Pick up a book or ride a bike once in a while folks!

  2. Good morning… I have to say, it is refreshing to come to a site and see God and faith mentioned repeatedly. I follow several other cycling blogs at the moment, but I’ve had to delete some because for some reason they often diverge into something vulgar or their consistent use of profanity just becomes too much. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, rides, and bikes!

  3. T.V is about brain washing and homogenization of the masses. Listen to your self, follow your heart, do what is best for you and your loved ones, find the love and there will be God.

    • Interesting. As David said, I don’t watch TV, but there are plenty of other media influences. My experience is listen to God, follow Him, and you will know how to do what is best for your loved ones and yourself. Find God and there will be love, for God is love.

      • I’ve been on a media (news) fast since the start of the year and have never been happier.

  4. Your pie chart makes me think of the large brown area as a bunch of “white noise” the world system has to offer and the small green area as the “still small voice” of God which is talked about in scripture. Sometimes I think we need to (or ask Him to) turn down the volume in order to hear His voice.
