When wandering familiar places…
…disguised in unusually cloudy, misty, and foggy conditions…
…and the tactile sensation of dirt and gravel roads whose dust is replaced with the softness of moisture…
…there is refreshing discovery…like the newness in a spouse after many years of marriage.
Hadn’t thought of it like that. I like that bridge shot.
“Cool” insight. I really enjoy the contrasts of your monochromatic photos. Also, I enjoy the sound and feel of a bicycle’s tires rolling on a smooth, moist gravel road. We’re having a bit of wintery weather up our way as well; some freezing rain and ice as I write this. Still, the moisture is much needed and appreciated! Just hoping it stays liquid instead of solid!
Nice post Chris. This time of year my wife and I always start the “why do we live here…”. Seeing Texas does make the winter mind wander.
